Ingredients

Scale

8 slices of sandwich bread

2 cups of milk

4 large eggs

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Butter or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the bread into sticks, about 1 1/2 – 2 inches in length.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat and add a little bit of butter or oil to the pan.
  4. Fully saturate each stick in the mixture, shake off the excess, and place in the hot pan.
  5. Cook the sticks for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  6. Remove the sticks from the pan and repeat in batches until all sticks are cooked.
  7. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
