Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6.8 oz Instant vanilla pudding (two packages, 3.4 oz each)
- 1 14 oz sweetened condensed milk (or add to taste*)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 11 oz vanilla wafers
- 5 fresh bananas
- 1 Tbsp powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cold milk with the vanilla extract and vanilla pudding packets, beating until the mixture thickens. Incorporate the condensed milk and mix well.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold two-thirds of this whipped cream into the pudding mixture using a spatula.
- Incorporate the powdered sugar into the remaining one-third of the whipped cream and gently mix with a spatula. Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Layer about one-quarter of the vanilla wafers in the bottom of your trifle dish, followed by one-quarter of the sliced bananas.
- Spread one-quarter of the pudding mixture over the wafers and bananas. Continue layering until you have four layers in total.
- Top the final layer with the reserved whipped cream and decorate as desired. Cover and chill for 2 hours before serving.
